CURRENT MISSION

I am currently in the US for an exchange program, until July. No need to say I REALLY want to see the most I can see. My mission (and I happily accept it) is to get to know more about many different cultures, and about the people that create them.

ABOUT ME

Student, curious, frendly, really interested in African American History, I love to dance (hip hop, salsa, swing), Michael Jackson fan (yes, I know...), so into meeting new people and learning about new cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm only 20, give me time, people, cultures and places to figure out who I am!
Anyway why always asking "why are we here, what is the purpose of all this?", just enjoy buddy!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, being in the US right now and in a host family, I can't have people sleeping here but I wish I'll be able to welcome you when I go back to France!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One week end in Vancouver. It was really nice. The city is wonderful and my host was absolutely perfect, he showed me around and welcomed me, even cooked pancakes for me!

2 other CS experiences in L.A. for the New Year, that was amazing, thank you guys again for showing us around and making us spend such a good time! CouchSurfing is definitely a smart concept.

兴趣

As far as my studies are concerned, I love studying the American Political system and African-American History. Because I love African-American culture, especially the music. I am the motown-stax-soul-jazz-funk style and my great funky energyzing combo is Stevie wonder - Prince - Michael Jackson.
I also love to dance, hip hop, salsa and swing in particular, but I also took ballet (bad memories...), jazz and tap dance classes.
I wish I went a little more to the gym but once I'm there I really enjoy doing sport, and jogging on sunny days in nice neighboohood.
One of the things I also really like is spending the afternoon with my best friends, talking about anything from philosophical matters to that guy someone met that was "really nice".
Just watching people in the street, while drinking a nice coffee on the terrace of a café is something I could do for hours. But I've been told that it was a very useless, time consuming, weird parisian activity. Whatever.
Another thing: imagine yourseld, outside, on a cold and rainy day. You're all wet, tired and can't wait to go home. But once you're there, you take a warm shower, put on dry and soft clothes, make yourself a nice cup of tea, grab a really good book, lit a fire in the fire place and just snuggle up in the arms of your boy/girlfriend.
Just one random thought, but it seemed nice.
Oh, I almost forgot the main thing... Eating! and cooking. Actually I think I like cooking even more because you just put yourself into it and you try to do the best for your friends/family/whoever will be eating. Plus, you'll be eating too, just a matter of time now.
I'm sure there's a lot more to say, but these are the main things.

音乐、电影和书籍

I could go for hours on music, but I would say to sum it up that I really enjoy soul and rythm'n'blues. I alos love jazz and funk. I know it might sound blasphemous to some but Rock music doesn't really moves me. When I listen to a song, it has to give me the goosebumps. I have to feel that thing inside that wants to go out but can't because it's just to powerful to do so.
Ok, so now you must be thinking I am a little crazy and you'd rather not have me on your couch... and if I promise I won't bring my ipod? (well actually it just broke before my 11 hours flight to the US...)

I really love old Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Liz Taylor, Marlon Brando movies or the Hitchcock ones for they remind me of the mother-daughter movie nights when I was a child. Those night were also the Nacy Meyers style. With very girly movies such as the N.Meyers ones or Sleepless in Seattle, the Bodyguard etc.
These movies have a special meaning to me.
But in general, I like a lot of Clint Eastwood movies (On Madison Road, A Perfect World, Honkytonk Man), I also loved David Lynch's The Straight Story. There are a lot more movies that I loved and can't think about right now.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'm always amazed by sunsets, wherever I am. Nature sometimes can be soo mysterious, so magical. From the Sequoias and Redwoods of Florida to the beautiful creeks of Corsica, this world is full of wonders that I'd love to explore

I wish my 8 years stydying German and 6 years stydying Spanish weren't for nothing, but unfortunately I think I'll have to almost start over. I barely can say two sentences in each languages. So sad..
