Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion travelling is about getting to know the locals, and I don't think there's a better way to do that than by staying with them, right? I love meeting new people, especially those who aren't a 100% like me, so they can show me things I haven't known or thought about yet, and I can share some of my experience with them in return.

Interests

All things outdoors both on the mountain (climbing, hiking, camping) and in the water (snorkeling, SCUBA, surfing).
Also enjoy trying out new recipes and sharing a good meal with friends.
Very interested in the environment and politics but proceed with caution, may lead to heated discussions ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

taking the plunge - coming to Australia meant travelling to the other side of the world, moving out of my parents' house, leaving my friends and family behind and moving to a foreign country, all in one giant radical step. But what seemed to be very scary at first turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. I've grown in so many ways I could have never imagined and I'm grateful for every day I'm able to spend in this amazing country.

I can teach you some fancy German tongue twisters if you show me how to whistle with your fingers in return.

I really like cooking, so if you want to I can prepare some nice, home-cooked Bavarian dinner for you.
