Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
when I have guests at home I try to have the most free time possible for them. And I share my great and happy CS moments with my non CS friends so they know what it is and hope they want to try it too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met lovely people who were very helpful and generous. Had awesome people stay at home when I could finally host: they came by bike from Switzerland, by hitch hiking from Germany.... We shared great travel stories and barbecues! I think being able to host someone is a fantastic way to share, in today's world. It's about experiences, but also about helping people out
Interests
Sharing cultures from around the world, be connected with nature and people;
great scenic places, colors of the soul
getting active: going inline skating; swimming in the hometown lake; going hiking...
getting lost into the contemplation of nature, be it a magnificent tree, or a stupendous sunset; or the waves in the ocean...
I really enjoy hiking to the middle of nowhere far from big cities and pollution.

Music, Movies, and Books

5 people you meet in Heaven
Music would be too big a list... beautiful melodies drive me, could be in lots of different genres but mostly electro recently...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experienced the Beauty of this World in several different places of the Globe during my travels, some moments more unique than others, such as magical rainbows in sunset skies reflecting in lagoons or jumping through clouds...
May 2012, hiked for 12 days through the Southern Alps of New Zealand, with only one other person, one bag, all supplies in it, and off we went, well prepared, for what was an adventure of a lifetime, in Fiordland and along the rugged and uninhabited west coast! unforgettable and unique...
Teach, Learn, Share
Hoping to do some volunteering in Nepal. try to learn Nepali along the way :D
keep my carbon footprint small, make a difference by trying to reduce it as much as possible.if we all start taking action, even the smallest step can help make a big difference. it is not too late and we can live a happy and balanced life without needing a lot.
Share travel experiences, perhaps my travel tales can help others organize their travels to destinations I have travelled to before, and theirs can help me with my next one :)
trying to use the least amount of chemicals possible, if not eliminate them. making my own household cleaning products with baking soda, grated soap, eucalyptus oil, citric acid... works so well and doesn't pollute like bleach whichis so often over and mis- used (and pollutes hugely and is super deadly to aquatic life) I'm more than happy to share tips on how to make your own cleaning products and use them properly, and manage to replace your usual products by eco- friendly and economic home- made ones :)
teach some French to people who want to learn, or a few French cooking tips (thanks to my grandmas :) I will probably still need a recipe though :)
