About Me

Hi Everyone! I'm a young aerospace engineering student with a passion for traveling and meeting new people.
I come from a very small island in the Gulf of Naples, Procida. It's only 4 square km but I think it's as small as it is lovely. Now I'm in my third year of my Bachelor's (only a few exams to go!) And I can't wait to have some free time to explore Europe and more.

-----Traveling for me means...
In the last year of my life, I got more and more into the volunteering and youth organizations world and I became a member of AEGEE and EUROAVIA, two associations involved in youth exchanges, as well as workshops and non-formal education for students and young people in general.
Thanks to them I got to participate in multiple events all around Europe, making new connections, lots of new friends, and learning from others' different outlooks on life. After this, I fell in love with the idea of traveling not only to discover the fantastic cities and natural beauties a place has to offer but (I would say more importantly) learning from others and sharing with each other our culture, our thoughts, ideas, and dreams!
A few years ago I would have laughed at the idea of going to events with hundreds of people, all sleeping in a gym or in hostels, without knowing no one else (...not yet!). I would also never thought of getting involved in Couchsurfing or hitchhiking. Now experiences like this are my fuel and what makes me happy the most. I'm now constantly looking for new adventures and new connections.

--- Hobbies and Passions
When I'm not studying or traveling I love to hike, get involved in water sports, read fiction, books about self-development, talking about philosophy.
The activity I love the most is windsurfing, I learned it a bit as a challenge for myself after buying second-hand equipment watching videos on Youtube and I'm now competly in love with this sport!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My interest in Couchsurfing is something born a few years ago, I didn't get on this platform right away as I was not 100% convinced about it, but after the last experiences I had, I'm super sure that this will be the beginning of some of the best travel and experiences I will ever have. For me it's not simply sleeping on someone's couch, but making real friends, sharing experiences, and learning about new cultures, life philosophies, as well as customs, and cuisine.
With my previous experience doing Youth Exchanges I was surprised by how easily like-minded people can connect in a very short amount of time, so now I want to fully embrace the "discomfort" of not having paid accommodation and relying a bit on the kindness of people. But I'm ready to give you all the positive energy I have and be your adventure partner for any crazy, fun activities that can come to mind!
At the moment it's difficult for me to host people in my small one-bed room I rent in Naples with other students, but I can't wait to change the house to get the chance to give back to more people the hospitality I've already received.
