My name is Mario, I'm 22 years old and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. I happen to own a small vegan restaurant with my girlfriend and it is caled Veg. e tais, a little joke with the portuguese word for "vegetables". I'm very comunicative, I love meeting new people and cooking. I'm also trying to join Gastronomy School at a nice university in Rio. Make a living out of one of my passions is one of my biggest dreams and I really think I'm slowly making my way to it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While visiting Brasília, my girlfriend and I met a very nice girl named Daniela. She explained to us what Couchsurfing was and told us stories about hosts and guests she's had. She quickly convinced us that it was a nice way to travel without spending much money and being able to meet great people whhenever you go.

I'm planning a tripe to Argentina in February and another one to Europe in April, so I'm looking for hosts and people to hangout with and show us some nice local things.

Interests

As I said, I really enjoy cooking and would love to make a nice brazilian meal for any host. I also like reading, hiking, cinema, music and some sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific kind of music that I like. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and to finding new ones. My favorite movies are the ones written or directed by Tarantino and Christopher Nolan. My favorite book is The Lord Of The Rings. I also happen to have a tattoo based on this one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done was starting my business with someone who is my friend and who I love. It's wonderful to make a living out of something I really like to do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach my hosts and guests a little bit about Brazil and vegetarian/vegan cuisine. I'd love to learn more about their countries and places they like to visit. One thing that I always like to share is a meal. Sharing a meal is awesome because everyones gives and takes something: I give a nice meal and take someone to enjoy it with me.
