We are two persons travelling - a french-estonian mix couple. René being a half french-half estonian and me, an estonian. We are a decent mix of positivity, good humor, small talk and deep talk, interest for the wonders of the world and its creatures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and hosted quite a lot since 2007. Made a small break during past few years but now back on track with my partner in life, René.

Centres d'intérêt

A huge pile of things. First of all, it includes a profound interest in common people's couches rather than hostel beds. Then of course there is music (listening and making), literature (René is known for his science-fiction obsession and me, I m into fantasy at this very moment), permaculture and gardening and if to take into account our fields — education-wise — then for René, everything that relates with sociology and me, with religion-anthropology.

*Whilst travelling, one comes to realize certain things about its REAL wishes, desires, interests, ambitions etc. It just happens, because there you are - homeless, more or less thingless, light and free. You have nothing and you have everything. And then you start realizing that those things you do, those things you engage yourself with during the time when all of your life fits into your backback, matter the most, interest you the most, perhaps even develop you the most.

I write on behalf of us both now, since we share the basics. But while being very similar, we also are very different. Details of that statement can be shared when we meet you in person already, though.;)
Now, the things that matter to us right now:

-music making. I have a bag full of percussion instruments and I'm doing my best to train each hand and leg of my body to be capable of holding an independent rhythm with an independent instrument (as funny as it sounds!). René has a guitar and a beautiful mind for beautiful melodies.

-environment. More and more countries you visit, more and more garbage you see. We can't save the planet, but we can stay aware; we can choose a life that chooses to be respectful.

-farming, gardening, permaculture. One day we will be living in a house that we built ourselves and surrounded by a garden that we founded ourselves, animals included;). So until it happens, we've got a whole lot of time to gain experience on those fields!

-architecture. That's mostly Renés' thing. He is building a house for us already in his mind (and computer).

-reading books.

-writing. Whilst travelling, you also discover that you want to reflect and that you have a whole lot of emotions, thoughts, fantasy outbursts and other cool things in your head that want to be reflected on and that language is a powerful tool to help you do so. In a written form even more so.
