ABOUT ME

I am an active, positive, optimistic, open-minded person trying to make the most of my existence!I love meeting new people with different interests and points of view, dancing,travelling, reading, live music and just hanging around.
I am currently doing an MA in Poverty and Development and trying to start a career in International Development, as really want to do something meaningful that I feel passionate about it.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem. It´s my motto in life, for me every day is special and unique, so I try to get the most of each experience, each place I stay in in and every person I met. And optimism! I think it is the fuel of my life. For me one day I don´t smile it´s a lost day (I don´t think I have ever lost one! )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I knew about CS through a friend, and I thought it was a great idea, as I always try to travel to friend´s places, I don´t like that much feeling I am a tourist, but I want to discover the real city. We went together to north Italy and I didn´t even had my profile yet as I spent my summer in Africa and internet over there wasn´t really working...it would have takend the whole summer to complete the profile! I found really kind and interesting people and I realy enjoyed the experience, so that I decided to join the community. I have been in some local meetings in Brighton, where I am currently living, and I am looking forward to get more involved with it! If it didn´t exist, it would be necessary to invent it for sure! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my writers are Lucía Etxeverría, Arturo Pérez Reverte, Gabriel García Márquez and Paulo Coelho. Other books I´ve enjoyed: 100 años de soledad, El Quijote, Diario de una gueisa, La ciudad de la alegría, Los pilares de la tierra.
I enjoyed live music: jazz, blues, and many different styles: pop, rock, reggae, african..Like different music such as Fito, Shakira or Sabina. I´m recently listening Cheickh Lô, a senegalese musician with latin influences. I don´t understand wolof but the music it´s really beautiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things I could include here...I am able to find amazing things in day-to-day life. Sahara Dessert, the sunrinse at the Ganga river in Varanassi , the sea...
Currently living in Tunisia, which is a country that never stops surprising me. Recently showed 3 police woman stopping the trafic on one of the main roads in Tunisia on rush hour to allow a urban bus to change direction. Impossible to get bored.
