Hi there! My name is Maris and I'm a 23 year old studying at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. I live in a very old but charming downtown apartment.

Since my father is French I always had the opportunity each summer to visit family in the south of France. For a while I was very competitive in horse riding and I wasn't able to travel as much. Now that I can balance both I have been able to do more traveling than in previous years.

Currently I'm sticking to weekend trips due to my busy work and class schedule

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The filming and scenery in Interstellar instantly caught my eye and I knew I had to visit Iceland. My sister and I took a road trip around Iceland and we hiked the Vatnajökull glacier. It was one of spots used as a film location for Interstellar. Hiking it was breathtaking (both physically and mentally).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you many tales of living in the southern United States as well as going to what is known as the #1 party school in America. And if listening to embarrassing stories is entertaining, I have plenty! Or if traveling stories are more your interest, I have some funny ones on how as a college kid I have hiked and traveled on a very low budget.
