About Me
CURRENT MISSION
German humour exists :)!
ABOUT ME
It's really important for me to live and learn, to try and understand what is new to me, especially by travelling, getting to know new people, their opinions, exchanging views...
I have grown up in Berlin but used to live in Halle, a smaller city in Eastern Germany, to study there. If you decide to come and visit this place you might be surprised by the wild mixture of buildings ranging from Middle Ages to post-GDR and it's a great place for a relaxed student life spent by the river side or in cafés... But right now I'm studying in Istanbul doing my master's degree.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't believe in "Great Theories" or ideologies but in finding your own way, finding out what makes you happy and following this feeling.
And I don't care about people's nationalities, it's their characters that matter and I'm sure you'll find great people from everywhere!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about CouchSurfing from several friends of mine but haven't made first-hand experiences myself so far but while staying in Turkey I hope to get in closer contact with the community.
Interests
I love to spend my time reading, playing music (yeah! French bagpipes :), cycling, walking unknown places, learning languages and travelling. And I love drinking a nice cup of tea while chatting with friends!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love sad and melancholy music as well as music that makes me dance and makes my fingers itch to start playing, be it from east or west, it just depends on my mood.
It's impossible to list all of the books that have accompanied me over the years but some of the authors I keep reading again and again are: Michael Ende, Tolkien, Navid Kermani, J.K. Rowling, Nazim Hikmet or Shakespeare...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling from Switzerland to Spain by bike with a city bike, a broken helmet and three pair of socks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love eating and learning languages, hard to decide which of the two I like better. So, I can teach you some German or Turkish cooking or funny words like Schnürsenkel, Schmuckutensilien or Hochspannungsseil ;-).
And I am always open to new food recipes, traditional songs I could play on my bagpipes and new words.
