Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet and immerse myself in the environment that I'm travelling to, find hidden gems , avoid tourist traps and experience what it's like to live in a particular place. I've been surprised time and time again by the generosity of people on my travels and would like to be able to do the same once I'm out of student accomodation! My most memorable moments travelling have always been simple exchanges, or doing day to day things by in an entirely new space, with the smells, sounds and sights of the local culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Er, I ran a half-marathon for the first time 2 days ago in 1hr 57mins. Not sure how amazing that is, but according to my bruised feet, it was a lot of strain on my body!
