ABOUT ME

Geologist by profession. Intrepid and quirky by persona. I enjoy and live the life I want, despite what others or society might portray.

I moved to St. John's, NL back in August of 2011 to obtained my M.Sc. in geology, and recently migrated back west. Currently, living on Silverstar mountain , Vernon, BC for the summer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment just surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed around primarily the eastern provinces of Canada.

5 days in Montreal back in April of 2012, and recently spent 2 weeks surfing around various cities within Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick before moving back west.

Interests

Enjoying the outdoors and exploring amazing landscapes of both geological and cultural aspects.

I tend to keep myself busy with lots of activities such as yoga, snowboarding/splitboarding, rock climbing, slacklining, kayaking, hiking, camping, playing the piano, and crocheting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Alternative and folk music tends to be the majority of my playlist (sometimes old school hip-hop and 80's like synth).

I read a lot, and the majority of the time its geology textbooks or scientific journals.

Garden State is a favorite film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2014 was an exciting year for me having the opportunity to visit the NWT and see the northern lights, in addition I was given the amazing opportunity of working in field up north in the Yukon and Alaska!
