About Me
ABOUT ME
I am absolutely not interested in romantic relationships with surfers or hosts, I am happily taken, so please don't waste your time or mine, thanks =)
I am an American studying in Paris for Spring 2013. At home, I go to San Diego State University and am double majoring in International Security and Conflict Resolution and French. In Paris, I mostly take French as a foreign language classes and am enrolled in one Geography class. I also give English lessons a few times a week.
My friends seem to think I'm a pretty funny person. I love to laugh and be happy. I'm super relaxed and easy-going. I'm open minded and love to try new things.
I grew up in a city called Redding, CA. It's pretty small and unknown, even for Californians, but it's beautiful and is really close to Lake Shasta, Mount Shasta, and the Redwood Forest.
I really enjoy meeting new people and going out for a good meal or a drink. I love to travel and really want to see as much of Europe as I possibly can before I have to go back.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy on life is pretty simple actually, I think if you're a good person, it'll all work out in the end.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I don't have a lot to offer surfers right now, but I definitely plan to help out other travelers when I get back home to California, because I know traveling can be so expensive and I would love to help them out.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to watch a lot of musicals like Chicago, Les Miserables, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Hello Dolly, An American in Paris... pretty much all of them.
Coen brother movies, like Burn After Reading, I think that movie is hilariously weird and Brad Pitt and John Malkovitch are so ridiculous in it.
Love Harry Potter. I spent a lot of my teen years pretending I didn't but I've read all of them way too many times.
I also love Disney movies, the Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo are my favorites. With the old Disney movies, I consider this to be just apart of my love for musicals.
Oh and finally of course Judd Apatow movies, my favorite is the 40 Year Old Virgin, maybe because is was before he was really famous but I think it's absolutely hilarious. And I love Superbad too. While not a Judd Apatow movie, I LOVE Anchorman, a movie that I have been very sad to discover Europeans know very little about. But don't worry, I'll introduce it to you if you want me to
Arrested Development has to be my favorite tv show and I'm soooooo excited for the first new season in 7 years.
I LOVE soap operas, go ahead make fun of my for it, but I don't have to wait a week for my favorite show to be on, I get to see it 5 days a week for 52 weeks a year, can't beat that. I watch General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and One Life to Live (but it was cancelled a year ago... but it's coming back in a week or somethin like that yessssss).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paris, the City of Lights, best city in the world I don't wanna go back home
California beaches, the San Diego ones being the best of course
Edinburgh is an amazingly beautiful city and I'm sad I didn't get to spend that much time there
Amsterdam, wow... after living in Paris, people there seemed so ridiculously nice it was just the best experience ever
The Golden Gate Bridge, I love San Francisco with all my heart
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I'm pretty good at explaining English, I would love to teach anyone who's interested in some expressions. I'm especially good at teaching French speakers, just because I know the mistakes they usually make that can be completely impossible to understand if you didn't have knowledge of the French language.
I love to eat new foods, and I'm especially interested in eating them the way the locals do. I would love to make you dinner and get advice on what the locals eat.
