Hello! My name is Marissa. I am a 21 year old student studying nutrition. I was born and raised in a small town near Lake Tahoe called Grass Valley. When I was 17 I moved to sunny San Luis Obispo, California to go to Cal Poly University. During my Junior year of college I studied abroad in San Sebastian, Spain for 6 months and fell in love with traveling and experiencing other cultures. I was fortunate enough to travel to 6 countries while abroad and enjoyed every minute of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to experience the city in a richer way. Everyone can pick up a travel guide and follow a tourist route, but it is something special to get to stay with a local and try to see the city through their eyes.
