About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Conquering the world :P
ABOUT ME
I am currently working for an American organisation in Brussels, Belgium.
I studied Oriental Studies at Oxford University. In 2014, I finished my bachelor degree in Liberal Arts at University College Utrecht, the Netherlands.
In general, I love to get to know new people and explore new countries and people. So far I have lived in the US, Israel, the Netherlands, Peru and Chile - it has been a great adventure so far :) I would describe myself as open-minded and friendly.
PHILOSOPHY
"Live life to the fullest."
"Alea iacta est."
Einstein said that 'human stupidity and the universe were endless but he wasn't sure about the latter' - Unfortunately, he was right a lot of times about this.
I think that no one is perfect but we should try to make the best out of every situation. To try hard is more worth than if you have never tried it out. Life is a great adventure and we should cherish the moment. Things and the world we are living in change at a rapid speed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a number of people which was great fun. But I have also met a lot of cool people through couchsurfing :) I met a lot of great people in Casablanca, Israel, the Netherlands and Serbia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Overall - expect for one incident - I have met great people and I hope I will get to know even more. Something I am not fond of is how the platform may be used for other purposes than meeting and staying with great hosts. Couchsurfing should be a platform to exchange, grow and exchange ideas. It shouldn't be a dating site to find 'nice hosts' and 'sex'.
Interests
Running running running!!! I love to run half marathons and ran my first marathon in Madrid in April 2014. I come from an area with a lot of mountains, so I do enjoy hiking, too. I like skiing but it has been a while ever since I actually went out.
Currently I am member of different organizations such as ASF, ProAsyl and the German-Israeli society. Intercultural understanding and the fostering of new ties across cultures is of utmost importance to me.
I love reading - not only for university but also during my leisure time- Very much interested in politics, history, and religions.
Whenever I travel I try to explore the museums I come across.

Music, Movies, and Books
To be honest, I am not a big fan of movies. I do like comedies and documentaries every once in a while... At home I don't have a TV. I listen to all kinds of music and many people told me that I would not have the greatest taste :P I just like whatever catches my attention. In general, I prefer non-fictional books. At the moment I am reading 'Re-constructing the Classics' and 'Philosophy for Dummies'.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think that Petra in Jordan is one of the most amazing and stunning places I have ever seen. It was breathtaking and beautiful! I have never seen a place which takes you back to history at once.
I really enjoyed the Amazon in Peru as well as the Pyramides Teotihuacán close to Mexico City.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have always hated this question but I will try to answer it. I think that I know how to make people laugh. I love doing yoga and that's also something I would be more than willing to share.
If possible I want to learn more languages and improve the ones I already know. I am always astonished by how fast I forget what I had just recently learnt. I love French and Spanish but I hope to improve it in the near future- the same goes for my Hebrew skills :)
