ABOUT ME

I studied Cognitive Science in Tübingen, Germany and now strive towards being a scientist by doing my PhD in Berlin.

I am a nice and fun person to hang around with (I think ;-) ) and always try to give my best to make the world a better place. I prefer real conversations with some beer/wine over clubbing, spiced with fun and irony.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to do something meaningful and experience interesting things. As one can see with my studies, I like to know how people work, how intelligence, mind and consciousness are created. Personally, I think most of the problems, we have are created by not living the life you want to live and not saying what you want to say. I give my very best to be honest to myself and other people! :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much by now, I was Couchsurfing once in Delhi, India some years ago and found it was pretty cool :-) Unfortunately, when I was travelling I had bad timing and didn't get more opportunities to couch surf!

Interests

I like sitting around and talking, cooking and doing fun stuff :-) usually no kind of spontaneous crazy idea can upset me :-D I have a shit ton of hobbies and interests, for example I climb, do martial arts, dance, fly radio controlled helicopters, play the piano and the guitar and like to cook. As I have so many interests and a work that I am passionate about, I know something of all but I'm nowhere near professional in any :-D Also my general interest is learning, getting to know more about the world and myself, learning how to live with an open mind, that's probably my main hobby!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like meaningful movies like "American Beauty" and "Intouchables" but also simple no-brainers, depending on the mood ;-)

Concerning music, mostly I am listening to classic rock, but there are lots of different music genres which I like (from Rammstein over the Scorpions, Yann Tiersen, relaxing stuff like Kieran Halpin to Chopin)

I like novels and SciFi about how the world works (my favourite author is Andreas Eschbach) and fantasy like "Game of Thrones" or "The Name of the Wind".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

5000km motor bike trip all by myself from Germany through Sweden and Finland, seeing the midnight sun
