Overview
About Me
I spend my days climbing artificial rocks, trying to finish reading wikipedia, lying on the beach and creating value for our company's shareholders. The relative amount of time I get to spend on each of those is currently not to my satisfaction and changing that relation is my primary goal in life.
I believe that pursuit of knowledge is the most noble of human ambitions and an open mind the best trait a person can possess.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always enjoyed talking to foreigners as they shuffled through polish universities and pubs. The thing about them is that they were invariably the most intriguing person in the crowd and I'm not sure why. Is it because the travelling itself makes them interesting and full of anecdotes? Or perhaps people who are able to leave their home and live abroad are just naturally more awesome than others? Did I just enjoy talking in english so much more than everyday mother tongue? That's what I want to find out. So I decided to just let you folks come to me! Much easier to meet Travellers this way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Shōgun by James Clavell - Read it so many times that front cover fell off. The entire Asian Saga is wonderful with just the right mix of fictional characters and historically accurate settings.
Firefly, 2002
One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer by Nathaniel Fick - First hand account from an officer who fought with U.S. Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. His description of war and realities on the ground is equal parts terrifying and hilarious.
Lord of War, 2005 - produced at a time when Nicholas Cage only appeared in good movies.
Toward Rational Exuberance by B. Mark Smith - Brief history of New York Stock Exchange, discursive and full of anecdotes about people making history of the Wall Street. Very well written for a stock trader. Knowledge of basic economy is technically not required but really helps.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm eager to accept native english and korean speakers I could learn from. And if you are even remotely interested in ancient Rome, cryptography or programming I can share all I know.
