About Me

I grew up in Ukraine, then I moved to Switzerland to get fondue. I am studying at the moment law, but my soul belongs to arts, literature and dancing. After uni you can find me mostly sporting, painting, drinking tea/gin tonic with my friends or going out. I am also into poems, photography (I discovered for myself analog photography a year ago and now I am so enthuse about it) and architecture (especially jugenstil)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people (or even friends). I always tend to discuss about politics, life and other such things, so I am interested in new opinions and thoughts. When I travel I want to see a different side than only the touristic one. I realized that I learn and see much more things if I meet local people than visiting just the touristic spots.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste depends on my mood. I like techno, electro, Spanish music or enjoy local artists when I want to go out with my friends. Jazz and indie rock are my big passions as well. I own a lot of records but still didn't buy a record player..
I like French and British comedies, arthouse movies and all movies from Woody Allen. Pulp fiction and death at a funeral (British version), grand hotel Budapest, Gatsby, Les Garçons et Guillaume à table, midnight in Paris and l'écume des jours are my favs. Old movies with louis de funès are also pretty nice.
I read everything. At the moment I am really into Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in Montenegro over the forest and the sea.
Last summer I came out of my comfort zone for the first time and I travelled with my best friend In Vietnam. Was an amazing experience and I learned a lot about myself.
Ukrainian way of life and countryside parties.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Russian or German (from compliments to swearing). I lived half of my life in Ukraine and half in Switzerland so probably I am an interesting mix of different cultures and I would like to share it with you. I like travelling and sometimes I am such a mess so I have few funny stories to tell you.

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Israel, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Russian Federation, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
