Hello there! My name is Marjorie, and I'm originally from Washington, D.C., but I've spent the last year living in Western Siberia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. I am looking to stay with energetic, welcoming people who are willing to share the joys of their country from the perspective of locals with a clueless American!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realized at a young ate that my passion in life is immersing myself in the cultures of others, and there is no other way I would rather travel than to meet locals and see their countries through their eyes, rather than as a tourist. I lived in Kazakhstan for a year with a host family and then moved to Western Siberia for a year, so I understand the value of living abroad rather than simply visiting a place. I would love to replicate these experiences, even if only for a short time, with the help of amazing new people who I am more than eager to meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at the White House in 2015 as the Information & Technology intern in the Office of Presidential Correspondence, helping to read and respond to all letters, emails, and requests sent to the President by the American constituency.
