ABOUT ME

30-something journalist living in Alaska for the adventure but homesick at the same time.

I grew up in sunny Southern California. I have lived in deserts my whole life and recently relocated to Southeast Alaska's rainforest.

I work at the only newspaper in town, and I'm learning to love both my work and me new town. I don't envision staying here forever, but for now it's just fine.

PHILOSOPHY

Kindness and hospitality begets kindness and hospitality. I believe that giving kindness, honesty and friendship will make me a better person rich with friends and experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by facilitating a warm shower and place to sleep for those traveling through. In turn, my life is enriched through experiences and stories shared with me by those I meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a couchsurfing newbie! I have yet to surf, but would love to offer my couch to anyone passing through, in an effort to ease their journey a little bit.

兴趣

I mostly read, watch Doctor Who and think about making good food. I write periodically and frequently enjoy time with my dachshund Ellie. I haven't been out of the country yet, but Alaska feels close enough for now.
