I am currently on secondment in Sweden, but I come from Durban, South Africa!

I'm an accountant and entrepreneur and I am fascinated by consumer psychology, and the way people's minds work in general!

I play a few sports such as squash, cricket & tennis. I tend to be a bit of a (not so) undercover nerd and enjoy some gaming.

Above all, I love being around people. The funnier, the better. I love learning about new cultures and getting the secrets of each place and culture I visit from the people I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am using this unique experience to travel Europe, meet wonderful new people and learn from the locals all the secrets that their amazing cities have to offer!

I hope to be able to make friends worldwide and, if luck would have it, someday meet up in other countries with these new friends!

I come from a country which teaches us to appreciate cultural diversity and I love to learn more about other cultures and the quirks of each of them. People truly can be fascinating when given the chance!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Anything that makes you think. I love anything in the suspense genre. Inception, Lucky Number Slevin, The Departed, etc. Anything with Denzel Washington is right up my alley really. Also tend to be a bit of a sucker for romance when the mood strikes.

Books - Love Dan Brown, James Patterson, etc.

Music - I have pretty wide taste but tend to stick to the commercial stuff.

A whole lot of insight about what it's like in South Africa - the Rainbow Nation! As South Africans we are blessed with some of the richest cultural diversity in the world. (Did you know we have 11 official languages?) Couple that with the best that nature has to offer in terms of scenery, mountains, beaches and climate, and you've got a pretty appealing country.
