I moved to Tokyo at the end of October (2014) and have worked at NOVA (an English School) since then. I enjoy reading books and recently this online blog about Japan called Spike Japan (no affiliation to the Spike network as far as I can tell). I also enjoy Japanese movies and some Japanese Animation (although I'm no expert on either of them).

So far my favourite thing about living in Japan has been all the really great food I've gotten to try almost every day.

Also, my Japanese is existent but abysmal.

Mainly to meet some people in Tokyo. Whether they be travellers passing through seeking that elusive jewel of happiness on the next, as yet, out of sight shore of some distant land; or fellow residents who abide contentedly or restlessly or perhaps lonelily in the concrete megaopolis that is Greater Tokyo.

Unfortunately I live in a small apartment with my girlfriend and no couch or really any furnishings suitable for sleeping on (besides an extremely small twin bed that tends to be filled beyond capacity) so for the foreseeable future I can't host people :(.

However, whether visiting or living in Tokyo I would very down to grab a drink or some food or go root for the local sports team with you.

This one time I actually licked my elbow! I was then rushed to the hospital unconscious. By the time I woke up I was back in my bed and it was the next morning.

I've never attempted it again and to this very day everyone else denies that it ever happened....
