Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
PLEASE NOTE: I CAN ONLY HOST 1 PERSON AT ANY TIME NORMALLY.
I DO NOT HOST DURING AUGUST DURING EDINBURGH FESTIVAL.
AND PLEASE DON'T REQUEST TO STAY FOR A WEEK OR LONGER, THAT'S CALLED TAKING THE PISS!
I'm happy to host when I can, but looking for some hosts in Bavaria for Oktoberfest!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted a few people now and mostly has been a good experience.
**DON'T SEE ME AS A FREE RIDE, I.E. SOMEWHERE TO CHARGE YOUR ELECTRIC GOODS ALL DAY AND NOT INTERACTING WITH YOUR HOST, I WILL JUST ASK YOU TO LEAVE IF THAT'S THE CASE.**
I'm not naïve about people, and my CS philosophy is to welcome guests, help them on their travels in Edinburgh, have lot's of fun when possible and hopefully cook and eat good food together. Also to make my guests feel at home and safe during their stay.
I DON'T DO LAST MINUTE REQUESTS NORMALLY EITHER because of work, music gigs and travel so try and give me as much notice as possible.
Interests
I play guitar and sing in a band called Suzanne Vega And Me. with a girl from Hamburg, we sometime play in Edinburgh bars and played a show at 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival also, So Exciting!!
I love to cook great food. Always up for a laugh and try new things.
Love to learn about other countries, especially Asia as I hope to become an English teacher there one day.
I travel whenever possible, "A rolling stone gathers no moss" so they say :)

Lived in little village in Samut Prakan, Thailand for 1 week , no one spoke much English but I still manage to have fun and a few drinks and food with the local people who were totally amazing and humbled me so much.
Also just did a 170ft freefall abseil from the Forth Bridge in October 2019 - Awesome.
