Overview
About Me
Francophones bienvenue. Deutschsprecher auch sehr willkommen.
I'm a sailor, climber, tennis player. Und ich kann Tischtennis auch gut spielen. (Why in German? North Americans are terrible at ping pong. :))
I also dance my ass off. Former Shaolin practitioner, karate-ka.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking for experienced sailors interested in sailing in the Vancouver area--or Gulf Islands--on my sailboat, a Hunter 25. (25',8.5m)
If you know how to rock-climb, all the better. I'd like to do some easy top-roping; I have 2 harnesses, rope, a dozen draws. Squamish has the best sailing and climbing in Canada.
By experienced sailor, ideally that means someone who knows how to use a spinnaker and/or has race experience. I'm okay with sailing, very good with anchoring. :) (The boat is never at a marina, always at anchor.)
As a minimum, you need some sailing experience and be able to board a boat from a dinghy heaving in heavy swell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked in winter in the High Arctic, 20 kilometers from the closest humanity, which in itself was a remote radar site sitting on a vast, treeless plain. The travel agent said there would be dancing girls. He lied.
Teach, Learn, Share
Many things. I'm a polyvalent polymath. (Translation: egghead. Thus the Kung Fu. :))
What I Can Share with Hosts
