Overview
About Me
I am and raised in England, but I have spent the last 7 years living in Germany. Thanks to my time serving with the British Army I have had the chance to visit many countries and meet some amazing people which has really made me want to explore more in my own time.
Some people may think I am a bit of an introvert, but truth is I just want to be the best me possible and that means sacrificing a little bit of social time, but I do all get out as often as I can.
I have not managed to escape Europe too much, but I love every new country and culture I experience, I generally hate having to leave! My favorite experience so far has been hiking with a friend through the snow capped mountains in Bulgaria, dangerously under prepared and calamity filled (if I ever host / surf with you then ask me about it for a hoot)
I like to read and learn as much as possible and in my spare time I attempt photography (emphasis on attempt.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really want to see as much of the world as possible, one day I would love to live and work abroad permanently - and would like to reciprocate by helping other people accomplish their goals wherever possible.
Interests
I love dogs and I help to train them and volunteer at my local shelter when I have spare time. I also like to keep active and go hiking and camping a lot, I used to rock climb - but have not been able to for a couple of years.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't define a genre for music, I tend to like a little bit from each - as long as it is a good song. My favourite song though is fast car by Tracy Chapman and band would be 3 doors down or Vertical Horizon.
Top gun is, my favourite, a classic movie that I grew up with.
Apart from the massive amounts of reading I have to do for work I tend to like reading autobiographies and more factual based literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have ever seen was the northern lights, although it was very brief and I would love to go back and hopefully see them again.
Worked at the 2012 London Olympics.
Visited the Everest Base Camp.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a few survival and camping skills from my time in the army, and I am a master at student / army level cookery ( which essentially has no flavor but will sustain you haha)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am open to discussion about most subjects and like to share thoughts and ideas, I love to learn about new cultures and history.
Countries I’ve Visited
Afghanistan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United States, Wales
