Overview
About Me
Grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. Bio major from UPitt Spent the past few years working as a musician (I've played classical piano and organ for my entire life), teaching music, chemistry, GED, and ESL, and working/managing in the restaurant industry.
Currently, I've been on the road for months, traveling around the US without a plan or destination. I'm searching for a break from routine and finding the most amazing people and experiences thanks to the CS community and others. I look forward to being able to give back and host once my travels are over. I am eternally grateful to everyone I've met along the way who have shown me hospitality and kindness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing has broadened my horizons as to what traveling means. At first, I was skeptical, but to see the trust and generosity, and love of life and experiences that exist in the community has made me a lifelong member.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: grew up with classic rock and that will always have a special place for me. I listen to every genre and have an opinion about all of it. Right now I've been listening to a lot of Lake Street Dive, Vulfpeck, Mo, ZZ Ward, Bela Fleck, Joe Hisaichi, and the Hamilton Soundtrack. I also play classical piano and will forever treasure Chopin ballades and Beethoven sonatas above all else.
Movies: Casablanca, Annie Hall, Children of Men, Chinatown, V for Vendetta, Seven Samurai, everything Ghibli, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Tarantino, Andersen (both of them), Kubrik and the list would never end if not now.
Books: most recently I read McCarthy's "The Road", Clark's "The Hammer of God", and am reading The Federalist Papers. My favorite book is "East of Eden" by Steinbeck. I also enjoy anything by Dave Eggers, CS Lewis, Vonnegut, Faulkner, and Robert Jordan, to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once put a dollar into a gas station slot machine off the highway is Nevada and won 400$ in five minutes. Paid for the gas for my entire cross country roadtrip.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always looking to learn about a new place, a new recipe, or something new and fun to do. I hope I can do the same in return. I'm a decent cook, a conversationalist, and have trivial knowledge about most things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have my cooking, my music, and my love for conversation, my aptitude for board games.
