About Me

I am a person who wishes to live simply, with happiness, and appreciation for all that I have around me. I spend a lot of time studying and at the moment one of my main interests is Buddhist teachings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To broaden my mind by meeting others and learning more about life.
To meet others who might have a place for me to stay when I travel.
To share what I have with those who are travelling through my neck of the woods.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Tibetan book of living and dying, Essene Gospel of Peace, movies depicting true life events, documentaries etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am living :-) ....it is a miracle that each one of us is doing the same.

Teach, Learn, Share

When people come here, as much as my energy will allow, I like to learn about life in their home counties, what they are passionate about, learn new skills, and have found it can be a very enriching experience for both the host and the couch surfer. Going out for a walk, doing some gardening together, collecting seaweed for the garden can be fun and is a way of contributing energy and learning together.
Occasionally a person stays here who just wants a place to do nothing and be fed and have a roof over their head ...and I understand that, but if it happens too much then it is not sustainable and I have at times felt a bit used and exhausted being around takers rather than givers.
It is a better experience for both if there is some form of energy exchange/contribution. If you are mindful of others, aware that although small there is a cost to hosting people, and want to be involved, then you are welcome. This is my home, so please be mindful that it is a little different to the situation in a backpackers or hotel.

I have a strong sense that every moment of life is a gift and I wish to honour that, contribute to the well being of others, and live life to the fullest. -- and it is not only easy, but a pleasure to do so with the right company :-)
- thank you for reading this and considering before asking to stay !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share my knowledge of holistic health, and of edible and medicinal wild plants.
