About Me
Hello,
My name is Mark and I am 21, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am nearly finished up with college, but am studying abroad in Granada, Spain for the time being. I am open to almost any living situation and am very adaptable to new places and new people. I enjoy more than anything learning about the place I'm in and the people living there. I can talk for as long or as short as my host would like, but I am very low-maintenance. I enjoy spending almost all day out and about wherever I'm at.
I am studying abroad in Granada, learning Spanish, which I have become fairly fluent in, but I am still learning. I can most definitely live and communicate in a Spanish-speaking household (I love to practice). I am not learning any other languages at the moment so living with people who speak other languages may be difficult.
To add, I'm not a huge party person, but go out occasionally. I like to wake up at a normal hour (9/10 a.m. usually) and seize the day. I don't require any special living conditions, I am very clean and I am very good at obeying house rules. I would be more than happy to make some long-lasting friendships/connections through couch surfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have traveled before to different parts of Spain and Europe, mainly through hostels. Upon recommendations, I chose to check out couch surfing because, while hostels offer just a bed, I would like to make more personal connections with the people i'm living with, in hopes that we can share our own stories and cultural backgrounds.
Right now, I am just surfing, but depending on the time and place, I'd like to host in the future.
