About Me

I'm a Chef/DJ/Devoted (Seperated) Dad.

Too many years of life experience (45 of them dammit, how'd that happen) to condense down into a pithy and hilariously genuine paragraph to introduce myself to the world (other than as a man with a clear fondness for the overuse of brackets).

Not been very active on Social Media of late, but I post odd bits n bobs so you can stalk me/check me out/feast on the skeletons in my closet etc... through what I don't doubt will be a linked FB profile or something along those lines.

Stay blessed

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel, meet some excellent people (the site was introduced to me by an amazing American guy that's living in Thailand who I met in Cornwall as he was on his first ever UK Tour) and make fantastic food for lovely people in places I would otherwise not see and mostly to be closer to my son during a difficult transition.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh my, another place to define myself by my viewing/reading/listening habits.

A slightly too sarcastic pedant with a love of revenge tragedies, popular science books, ancient philosophical texts, the works of Spike Milligan and low-grade comic books.
When I listen to music it tends to be Reggae, Hip-Hop or Drum n Bass but I have varied and wide ranging tastes so it's not unheard of for me to roll out some Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan or sneak in a bit of Neo-Classical AccordionFunk.
Yeah movies, woo... A life long love/hate relationship with the visual medias of TV and Film but am an obvious 70's-80's child in most of my tastes. Great movies are so subjective but I quite like something with heart so really enjoyed Amelie, Lemony Snickets, The Fastest Indian in the World and a bunch of other random celluloid bedazzlements.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm yet to achieve the merit of an amazing feat, I've travelled, lived, loved and laughed all of which were unique moments and amazing memories but I've never saved a drowning horse, swum the Channel or started a new internet fad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you poor grammar and the colloquialisms of my vocabulary whilst cooking up a fabulous meal to share. All done while listening to a horrendous blend of music

What I Can Share with Hosts

My vivacious personality, some good recipes, badly told stories and a few laughs
