I used to live in Australia and managed a big meetup/facebook group there which now has around 3000 members. I also used to travel quite a bit, I’ve lived with people from Palestine, Sweden, Uruguay, France, Italy and Spain and spent a decent amount of time in South East Asia. 4 years ago I came back to the UK where I now have a house and a permanent job. For now at least I have 2 spare rooms and I’d love to welcome fellow travellers and help anyone who’s still able to live the dream! To be honest I really miss connecting with people from other countries (we don’t have enough in this part of the UK!!).

I love meeting other people passionate about travel and couch surfers seems to be full of those people!! I used to use meetup but all my international friends swear by couch surfers and they are the nicest people, so I figure there must be something special about this app.

I once dived the Great Barrier Reef, where we swam with a giant green turtle (1m+) and white tip reef sharks! Highly recommended!

Hmm I wasn’t thinking about us g this app to stay places… but maybe I will! I’m pretty handy, I qualified as a builder before I realised I hated it (at least in the UK) so happy to help you with house related jobs in exchange for a place to crash I suppose!
