I'm a Brit who grew up in Switzerland and now lives in Prague. My job pays the bills for me to pursue my main passion of music, and just enjoy life to the fullest. I guess I could be described as an ageing big-kid musical hippie ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently moved into a new flat where I have the possibility and room to host people, something I've wanted to do for some time as friends have spoken warmly of the experience. I often have friends to stay for a few days when they need a place to stay and thought this would be a great opportunity to help out people from around the world and make some new friends in the process. Not to mention making a few contacts of my own for when I travel :)

Interests

My main interest is music - I am a pianist in two bands and enjoy listening to and playing all types of music, especially live, so unsurprisingly enjoy such activities as festivals. I also enjoy travelling and meeting new people, as long as they are open minded and tolerant. Otherwise hanging out and enjoying time with friends, often in my favourite tea room run by a good friend, often including a jam session or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - too much to mention, mainly jazz / soul / funk / latin / world (pretty much anything that catches my interest). Not so keen on 80s music though.
Movies - I enjoy strange movies, eg Under the skin, Donnie Darko, etc. And Blues Brothers always fun :)
Books - A bit of everything, particularly like obscure sci-fi
