About Me
I'm finally hiking in Europe! Doing several different trails/routes all connected from Greece (Crete) to Slovenia and possibly in France.
I love staying a night (or two) in the towns along the trail where I pick up my resupplies - to learn about the people, the sights and history of the area. And also to have a chill place to pack my food (and eat town food!), charge electronics and get cleaned up a bit before heading back out to the trail.
Past hikes: Grand Enchantment Trail and finally finished the PCT and Tahoe Rim Trail in '25, finished AT and Vermont Long Trail in summer of '24. Did the last 400 miles of the Hayduke over again in spring '24. 2/3 of the AT (Appalachian Trail) in summer '23, Hayduke route thru Utah/AZ spring of '23, Oregon Coast Trail (OCT) in summer/fall of '22, 2/3 of (PCT) in spring/summer of '22, Pacific Northwest Trail (PNT) in summer '21, Arizona Trail (AZT) spring '21, Colorado Trail (CT) in fall of '20 and the Bigfoot Trail (BFT) in summer of '20. Started the Arizona Trail (AZT) in spring of '20 getting just over half-way before covid shut things down. Did the GDT (Great Divide Trail) 800 miles along the rugged, challenging and beautiful Rockies in Canada in summer of '19, and my first long walk was the CDT (Continental Divide Trail) 3100 miles along the US Rockies from Mexico to Canada from '16-'18. I've walked a bit over 13k miles so far.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting wonderful people and sharing stories as I pass through towns to resupply on my Long Walks. A nice, comfortable place to stay is such a great treat. I'd love a place to put up my feet for a day or two, arrange supplies, and see the local scene. I enjoy talking with people, laughing, and learning about the town and surrounding areas I'm walking through.
Interests
I love long walks! Other interest is non-dualistic spirituality, it shapes how I walk in the world. I live very simply when off trail and back home in So. Oregon during the winter; do temp/seasonal work to support my hiking habit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The CDT, my first long hike, was pretty amazing; a bit more adventure than the weekend backpack trips I used to do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have lots of interesting stories from the trail to share. I'd love to hear about you and your town as well. I'm not much of a cook but love to wash dishes so having kitchen and food time with hosts is possible and so far, has been a special part of the surf experience.
