About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel non stop for one year by hitchhiking, ridesharing, couchsurfing, camping and adventuring; living simply, meeting many, and doing my part to make this world better

ABOUT ME

Born, raised and attended college in Missouri, moved to Kentucky. I have traveled here and there, off and on, but have never really been able to immerse myself in a trip. So I started a yearlong trip at the end of January. I want to meet people of different backgrounds, cultures, religions, beliefs, occupations, etc. I want to learn about sustainability, Wwoofing, and I have always wanted to work odd jobs .
I love to cook, clean, read, and laugh. I am big into outdoors activities, but love art and Theater as well.
I love to help people and learn about other cultures and subcultures and hope to spend this year doing just that.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind. Live Simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I only surf, undertaking a yearlong journey on the road, but I cannot wait to reurn the kindness I have already received in the short time I have been a member of the site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

visited 18 states (36%)Create your own visited map of The United States or jurisdische vertaling duits?

I am essentially brand new to couch surfing! I did a bit one summer during college and loved the travel, meeting new folks. I have also loaned out my couch once or twice.

Interests

I want to travel, work odd jobs when necessary, become a professional writer and author. During this year on the road I plan to hang with everyone from Freegans to the Amish to Rodeo Clowns.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I'm big on the singer/songwriter genre, but I listen to just about everything. That includes, Jazz, Pop, folk, Classical,Southern Rock etc.

I love the theatre, stage acting, one person shows... all of it. Tried my hand at writing plays...didn't work so much.

Movies- Foreign, Indie, documentaries, and horror!!! Saw my first horror movie at five and I was hooked!!
I love movies about people. Well done glimpses into a characters life. And of course pictures about travel. The Way, with Martin Sheen is one of my favorite films.

I Love to read so it is hard to list. Non-Fiction (Travel, simple living, personal journeys) I love a good mystery as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Almost every single day on this journey had been amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very skilled in cooking and baking. I love to teach about the wonderful world of culinary arts. I'm looking to learn lots of new skills, so that I can later share them as well.

As far as learning, I am open to any new experiences and want to learn add much as I can from whoever wants to teach.
