About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Utah in a family of 11 kids. I love my family, my husband and I are raising our young son. I love southern Utah and northern Arizona especially the Grand Canyon. My husband's family owns a hotel near the Grand Canyon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can probably host some people given enough advanced notice. I'd really like to show some people the cooler sites of the Grand Canyon. I've done this a few times for friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have stayed with two different people so far. In London we stayed with a wonderful woman who was so kind and accommodating. In Paris we stayed with the kindest woman and her daughter and they showed us the city they love. We have made great friends from couchsurfing.

We continue to travel the world and even our own country.

Interests

History. Especially Art History. I have found in all my travels, the greatest sites are people's smiles.

Music, Movies, and Books

My husband's favorite movie is Groundhog Day because he could watch it a million times and never get sick of it. We watch mostly romantic comedies and action films.

I love great endings like, I am Legend, War of the Worlds, Return of the King, and I don't really like Moby Dick, though I did finish the unabridged version and not for a school report.

My husband and I often read or listen to the same book at the same time to talk about what we like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing back on the boat at Lake Atitlán after saving my friend's life, swimming him to the nearest boat.

Everyone of the hundreds of sunsets I've watched at the Grand Canyon have left me awestruck.

I lived in a tent for 3 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make an instrument from a dinner straw.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, England, France, Ghana, Greece, Haiti, Italy, Mexico
