About Me

My names Mark, I am 26 and from Northern Illinois. I travel as often as I can and I always try do to it as cheap as possible, that way I can travel longer. I use couch surfing as a way to save money while travelling as well as getting to know local people in the areas I am visiting. I am an easy going person, social but can also keep to myself if needed. This summer I am going on another motorcycle trip, I will ride from Chicago through Michigan and then west to the Washington coast, I will camping mostly but also plan on couch surfing. I do have a tent and am able to yard camp if necessary.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to stay with locals when traveling, to save money and to have different experiences than a hotel stay.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have Hitchhiked from northern Illinois to Tennessee and Kentucky, also I've taken a 65 hour train ride from Chicago to San Francisco, passing through some of the most scenic areas in America. My most recent trip was September 2016. I left my home near Chicago Il and rode my dirtbike to Sandiego, from San Diego I road along Pacific HWY 1 along beautiful coast scenes to San Francisco. After the bike journey ended I lived in a cabin in Montana for five months volunteering for the Buffalo Field Campaign.
