About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just moved to Vilnius, Lithuania, for an exchange semester.

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Mark, I was born in 1989 in Vienna, Austria. I am studying Political Science at the University of Vienna in my second year now. I am always open to meet new people from all over the world. In 2011 I volunteered in Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea for 3 months and it was an amazing intercultural experience. It was that amazing, that I came back in summer/winter 2012 to do an Internship in Seoul, South Korea for another 3 months. I met a bunch of highly interesting people from all over the world, which helped me enlargen my intercultural understanding a lot. Especially since then I am very keen on getting in touch with people from different cultural and also social backgrounds.

PHILOSOPHY

Open minded, social, honest but discreet. But it's hard to put your own character into words. Let's just find it out together :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have heard of CouchSurfing from friends who had very positive experiences with it. So that I am a kind of open minded person, I thought I should try it out as well.

Interests

I have a keen interest in korean culture and language but also in intercultural learning itself. During my free time I like to spend time with my friends. I also play the Electric Bass Guitar. Sometimes I just gather with friends to have a jam session and be creative :)
At home I spend time reading books, nowadays especially korea related books, enjoying the wideness of the internet, editing videos and sometimes just playing computer games.I also enjoy cooking a lot, both austrian and international cuisine. I would be glad to introduce the hidden gems of our local kitchen here to you :)
