About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not take life too seriously

ABOUT ME

Laid back and easy going. Funny with a healthy serving of sarcasm. Sometimes indecisive, not a fan of making plans. Like to go with the flow. Definite sense of wanderlust - always up for a good road trip. Happiest when hanging out with a small group of good friends and having a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna Matata!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a first timer, but am looking to host some people so people can trust me as an honest person if and when I seek a couch to crash on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet!

Interests

Discovering new places seems to drive my life, but when I find myself settled in an area I find 100% of the time that it does indeed have a winter season. Skiing is a lifestyle of mine, the physical act, the community, the mountains...all of it. No definite hobbies in the summer anymore (used to be soccer!), but I like to do whatever might come my way - softball, beach days, hanging out on a boat, going to swimming holes, drinking, bbq'ing, traveling and whatever else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big movie fan, but have little patience for old movies, anything with poor quality, or horror movies. Actually I dislike horror movies to the extreme. Recent movies that I've watched and liked include: The Dark Knight Rises, Safety not Guaranteed, the Avengers, Moneyball, 50/50. Oh ya, and the Departed is an all time favorite.

I only read non-fiction - especially travel writing or any other kind of book that might teach me something or bring me to another country. Currently reading Lost in Shangri La. Top books in memory: Under the Banner of Heaven, Born to Run, The Sex Lives of Cannibals.

Not too too big into music but enjoy hip hop, I like the more up beat stuff. Right now especially into B.O.B., Lupe, Hoodie Allen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Top 2 life accomplishments: studying, living and traveling in southern Africa and exploring the winter backcountry of Idaho for a winter (on skis!).

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know! Hopefully you can help me figure it out! Although I do know a pretty nifty bar trick...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
