About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in Kingston, Ontario--my hometown--along with my wife, Alice (also a CS member). I previously lived in Waterville, Maine, and before that Columbus, Ohio, where I went to grad school. I studied and (briefly) taught Russian and European history. I've been to Russia several times, including extended stays in Vladivostok and St. Petersburg. I also lived in Budapest for a time, while studying on exchange. Favorite places: the Grand Canyon, Prague, Newfoundland/Labrador, Lake Baikal, Hawaii. The lakes, forests, and rivers of north/central Ontario also have a special place in my heart.
