Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get a PhD, and teach engineering to others someday.
ABOUT ME
I'm happiest when I'm working on some major goal. When I worked after my master degree for eight years, I started getting bored after about three years. I decided that I needed to go back to school again.
I've been married for seven years. My wife, Wendy, and I have a 2 year old daughter, Pearl.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm just pretty thankful to be alive. I think a lot of things had to happen just right in the universe for me to be here right now. I don't take (or try not to take) life for granted.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to it right now. I'll keep you posted.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz, funk, alternative, electro-jazz, and just about everything else. I love seeing music in small venues for some reason. I like when bands write their own music.
I like mystery, suspense, and comedy movies the most. I enjoy many types of documentaries too. However, when an action movie has a final scene that is like 30 minutes long, I start to get antsy and lose interest. How much action does one really need in a movie? Apparently the more the betta for everyone but me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been fortunate to see a lot of cool things. I've seen both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and many places in-between. I once saw Midnight Oil in concert-amazing show! Still need to work on seeing other places in the world, but we'll need to wait until I'm not a broke college student!
Teach, Learn, Share
Before becoming a grad student (again), I was an engineer. Actually I still am since I continue to pay my professional registration dues... I'm good at it and I'm doing basically what I'm supposed to be.
