Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly like going to other places but i wouldn't mind hosting or drinking a cup of coffee with people who, for reasons unknown to me, would be interested in visiting the south of the Netherlands.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed at a friend of mine in Helsinki who happens to be a couchsurfer and I experienced that as quite nice which is why I signed up. Later, I went to south east asia and used CS to meet people from a wide variety of countries. I was lucky enough to meet so many wonderful people.

Interests

I'm a martial artist, currently active with judo and pentjak-silat.i also like to play the guitar, i'm a bit of a gamer and i like to do outdoor activities such as longboarding, rock climbing, snowboarding etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: METAL \m/ - reggae - celtic and japanese folk and all the rest what sounds fairly good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

while i was living in norway i could ride my snowboard to work, seeing as it hardly ever snows here in the Netherlands, that was very impressive to me xD kajaking on the fjords with a friend one beautifull day and suddenly finding ourselves in a storm... cold, cramped, tired and fearing for our lives there is a certain primitive energy which fuels the body to keep on going untill we reached the shore.. amazing :D

I walked a pilgrimage in japan for shingon Buddhism. It was a 1400 km trek through the mountains, visiting 88 temples and even though I'm not big in religion, it felt really, really, really.... Nice ^_^

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach others some languages like; dutch, english and norwegian. i can also teach how to play a guitar and how to defend oneself. I hope to learn the japanese language and am curious to other people's skills :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a great amount of stories from my travels and the unconventional type of work that I do. I am easy going and easily entertained, I can also be quite entertaining if i do say so myself.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Nepal, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
