Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I've lived in Albuquerque for basically my whole life, and it's time to see the world.
ABOUT ME
I like to try new things, see different places, and I love a good joke and a good time.
I graduated in May 2013 from University of New Mexico with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in biology. I am starting medical school there July 2013.
I'm an avid cyclist and mountain biker, and I love being active. I played soccer growing up, and occasionally play tennis, racquetball, and swim.
I prefer a board game night with a few friends (with drinks of course) over a big party. I like talking with people in a smaller group setting.
PHILOSOPHY
I love the sense of achievement I feel when I've accomplished something. Whether it's biking, hiking, or life. Working towards the goal or top of the hill takes some work and sometimes hurts, but looking back after I get there is always rewarding.
Think fast, talk slow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking to meet people from different backgrounds and different viewpoints. I'm making my way around Europe and see what I find!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, I'm really looking forward to starting.
Interests
I enjoy road cycling and mountain biking, hiking, and camping. I like watching TV shows (mostly How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, and the Office (U.S.)) and movies, and listening to music.
I follow my university's soccer team, and like a couple MLS teams. I also follow professional cycling (road and cyclocross mostly).

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like comedies mostly, my favorites are Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I Love You, Man (both with Jason Segel).
Music: In high school I was into classic rock, and really liked the Beatles through college. More recently I'm into alternative rock, some rap, and Adele. Recently saw Trampled by Turles and Emancipator in concert, and both were awesome.
Books: I love reading on my kindle. Currently I'm on book 3 of the Song of Fire and Ice series (Game of Thrones series). It's tough to keep ahead of the show! Mostly fantasy books on the kindle, but also read the Foundation series. Need a direction to go after George R. R. Martin, so let me know if you have any suggestions!
Teach, Learn, Share
I make a pretty mean stir fry, and have the best omelette skills around (both courtesy of my hero, Alton Brown).
I would definitely love to learn more languages. Most applicable to me would be Spanish, but French, Italian, and German are high on my list too. However, whatever you know will instantly go to the top of the list!
