About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life

ABOUT ME

We are a married couple with no kids and one cat. We live in East Lake Commons, a cohousing neighborhood. We live in townhouses instead of the separate houses with large lawns that are usual in the area. The space we saved is partly trees and a large playing field, but mostly a 5-acre organic farm. For more about our neighborhood, see the web site:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted a couple of surfers and we attend some of the many local CS get-togethers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always liked staying with people when I travel and now that I have a house it is also fun to have people stay with me when they travel. My family hosted several exchange students and our family vacations were usually planned by connecting the dots of who we would like to visit.

Interests

Computers, maps, GPS, geocaching, custom cellphone software, biking, cohousing, contra dancing, science fiction, poi spinning, collecting cards (gift cards, phone cards, transit cards, expired credit cards, library cards, membership cards, business cards, key cards, pretty much any cards people actually use.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving is a magical thing to do. It is like being a super-hero with the ability to breathe underwater. Seeing things down there is like being on an alien world full of life forms you have trouble believing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to fix lots of things that can go wrong with bikes.
I like to spin poi, but haven't tried fire poi yet.
I am finding that devil sticks are much easier to learn than traditional juggling.
