Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travel: experience new cultures and spend time in nature ideally next to beatiful rocks.
ABOUT ME
I asked them and they said, "Well-humored and, um.. active" I would say I like to be minimalistic and enjoy simplicity, but I also love sophistication and complexity in art, music, food. I'm taking a break from academia and want to jump off cliffs into the sea and climb in high mountains.
PHILOSOPHY
I live because I make the choice to embrace life, and the only sensible thing to do with that choice is follow the natural pattern to grow and evolve. I'm a skeptical person that likes to have good basis for forming any epistemic knowledge. I reject hedonism and feel that my transcendence relies on my ability to apply myself as a harmonious component in the organism that is our earth and universe. I get bogged down sometimes by capitalist consumerism, wastefulness, ethnocentrism, ego centrism. I try to remember that while I'm an individual I am part of a greater organism and realizing our oneness or interdependence is important. Personal gain at the cost of another impedes progress and equilibrium: it's the same as hurting ones self.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a house where we host people fairly frequently. I like to cook for guests and take them to cool places in my surrounding area like lake Tahoe and black rock desert. I'll host burners around the time of Burning Man.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When i lived in San Rafael, Argentina we hosted two traveling couples. Then I met up with one of them south in El Bolson and was a guest in a couchsurfer home. I helped host a German couchsurfer and went on an amazing trip with him to climb and visit national parks in Utah.
Interests
I like rockclimb, boulder, snowboard, hike, snowshoe, slackline. I play drums, violin, cello a bit. I'm interested in medicinal chemistry, neuroscience, pharmacology, biochemistry all that good stuff.
