About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Happyness.

ABOUT ME

visited 24 states (10.6%)Create your own visited map of The World

Like most people I would love to see the whole world; but I have not even seen most of Australia (or visited the closest neighbour to Sydney - New Zealand). Hopefully in the next few years I will be able to take some long holidays and do some more adventurous and long trips in Central Asia or Africa. One day I might own a bigger yacht which will take me to across the oceans to see more of the world from water too. Next time I go to Europe I would like to organise a cycling trip around Estonia and then perhaps a road trip south and through Eastern Europe. I would love to organise a charter yacht and sail the Turkish coast and Greek Isles. For some unknown reason I would also like to tour around Sumatra (Indonesia) - I quite like Indonesian food :)

PHILOSOPHY

Eat the fish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and couchsurfing. Drinking, eating and meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Anita in Wien. Jana in Prague. Many people in Estonia and Spain. I also met many people in Wien in July 2006 because they were there for the CS congress. I've hosted a few people in Sydney; attended meetings around Europe; met many CS members along the way, especially in Estonia.

Interests

Food, wine, classical music, sailing. I enjoy cooking - especially rustic simple foods. I like to make my own pasta and sausages. My favourite cuisines to cook are Indian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian. I like trying new foods from different cultures and learning new recipes.

I am a member of our local community garden and enjoy eating organic in-season fresh food.

I am not a raver or too much of a nightclub person. I do enjoy going out for dinner and/or drinks. I love a good conversation. I do tend to stay out too late sometimes, not getting home until after the birds are awake.

I like beer and wine and consume these to excess.

I enjoy simple pleasures, hiking and camping - although I do not do enough of it.

Earlier in 2009 I was on the delivery crew for a luxury sailing catamaran which we sailed from Sydney to the Whitsunday Islands, Queensland. Awesome experience. I would like to do some more ocean sailing.
