Stay alive!
ABOUT ME
I'm as laid back as you can get. Back home I play guitar in an adventure metal band, though I like nearly every style except generic country music (even humppa music)! I'm generally don't drink, but can still be easily persuaded for some social beer drinking. My biggest problem is I like everything (except peas) so I can never narrow down what I should do. For this reason I end up wandering aimlessly, yet content. I am capable of sleeping in the worst conditions. Somehow I am neither a night person nor a day person.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm all over the map here. It cannot be typed in a box.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
On tour with my band I've occasionally asked for a place to stay before playing the last song of the night. Sometimes this leads to comfy beds, sometimes to concrete floors, and sometimes to bizarro houses. In any case, it's either a good time or a good story.
Interests
Music (playing, writing, listening), reading (classics & nonfiction mostly), travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: anything directed by Werner Herzog or Christopher Guest, art house films, terrible horror films, anything involving Muppets or Tim Burton. I worked in a video store for 5 years, so anything that came out in that period I've seen.
Music: anything from mozart to massive attack to motorhead. I'm into Japanese post-rock lately. I'm always on the lookout for something new!
Books: Classics, quantum physics, philosophy, foucault.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I fell out of a roller coaster. Luckily I lived.
Also, toured across Canada with Paul Dianno from Iron Maiden.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught guitar lessons, but who hasn't? I'm fairly good at looking at things backwards. I have a degree in sociology, so I'm always interested in discussing social structures. I used to be able to do a backflip, but I tried recently and nearly died. I'm sure with a few days I could get my mojo back though.
