Helloo, I am Markét,

I'm from the beautiful Czech Republic in the heart of Europe. I love travelling and learning about new cultures. I mostly travel alone and in nature, but I am also a very sociable person who likes to laugh. I love adventure, hiking, rock climbing, flying, animals, nature, water, sports, creativity and helping others.

I am interested in volunteering, the environment, minimalism, design, science and technology.

With my full-time job, I worked as an organizer, co-organizer, photographer and the creative of a music open-air festival, a theatre festival, concerts and charity events. I am a lifelong volunteer and have also helped out at dog shelters.

Since 2021 I have left my home and live to travel! In Thailand I fell in love with rock climbing, helped at a dog shelter, farms, an environmental project in the Sri Lanca and much more. I love sleeping outdoors in the wild and hiking. I'm a photographer and love exploring this world, adventuring and being offline. Seeing the world with my own eyes and not just seeing it through social media...

In 2022, I walked alone the 40 day long GR11 trail across the entire Spanish Pyrenees - over 840 km. It was an amazing experience and I'm already looking forward to more long trails! :)

This is the first time I'm going to be away from home for a long time and completely change my life. I want to give my life more meaning. That's why I'm here on the workaway and I don't know when I'll want to go back home. I want to learn languages, experience different cultures, but I'm also happy to pass on something I know...

I love getting to know the local people, their daily life, helping them and seeing their country through their eyes. To see how they live and think. It's the only way to see their country as it really is!

When you host me during my travels, my younger brother hosts other travells in my country. balance :)
