Overview
About Me
I'm living in a small flat with my boyfriend at the moment and we still haven't finished the place, so I am not hosting at the moment. (Also only recently re-opened my couchsurfing account.)
(Last update: May 2022)
I am a psychologist with a natural tendency towards education and teaching. Still finding my way in the world and how to be most useful - there's so much to be done! Lately me and my boyfriend have been experimenting with ecological gardening, but so far we're mostly just learning from our mistakes, ha ha :-D
I am naturaly curious about life and people, see myself as very complex and changeable and rather of an impatient nature. I love learning new things (mostly languages), reading the Lord of the Rings again and again and I also love my guitar Elouise (but Kayle my ukulele accompagnies me more often on my trips). In free time I like to dance, I used to dance argentinian tango and am currently getting acquainted with swing, although tango will always hold a special place in my heart.
I really love mountains and my travelling taste is more peaceful and slow the older I get I find :-D I love being inspired by new people and cultures and taking the best of every place home with me :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At first I wanted to travel cheaply. Then, I wanted to give back to the people that hosted me, by hosting myself. Then I realized that hosting travelers is a way of travelling in itself and I found out that I enjoy the exchange, that I like sharing, it makes life richer. Now it seems like something completely natural :-)
Interests
I love that feeling of sitting on a mountain top, just looking at the view and feeling the wind in my hair. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Bartleby, the Scrivener
To Kill a Mockingbird
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
The Lord of the Rings (obviously)
Till We Have Faces (a lesser known yet fantastic novel by C. S. Lewis)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked near Mt. Aso in Kyushu with my brother. :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I will be happy to practice speaking with you, especially if you speak German, Spanish or French (and perhaps Italian if you’re REALLY patient), but I promise to switch back to English when it gets too annoying constantly answering my questions of the type: "How do you say that?" :-D
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music. Psychologically and philosophically-oriented deep-shit conversations, but always balanced out by a healthy dose of sarcasm. Stories from travels. My boyfriend, who may come with me, is a very meek and yet deeply informed person who loves to talk about biomechanics and health and is getting into ecological agriculture.
