Overview
About Me
I grew up in Ostrava, industrial city near Polish borders in Czech republic. I've been living in Olomouc for the last four years to study at Palacký University - English and Japanese Philology.
I'm a freak about languages and I'd love to learn at least a bit from all of them if I had the time.
I've been doing slam poetry for some time. I'm also a host and a DJ at our university's radio. I graduated in painting at High school of arts in Ostrava and I'm into cosplaying, anime, gaming, sports including kendo and all kinds of boards.
Movies, books, fantasy and sci-fi, music, theater... My brother calls me the universal fan.
Dog and a cat person, they are all a blessing.
Currently on Erasmus in Riga, Latvia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that huge part of travelling is meeting new people and learning from each other. Staying in a hotel doesn't really give you that. I believe in people and I believe that the community on couchsurfing, trusting each other, sharing our cultures and sharing our lives, brings the best from us.

Music, Movies, and Books
Fav music: there's too much, but.
Mountain Goats, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Amanda Palmer, Kimya Dawson, Balthazar, tricot, Rend Collective, Sigur Rós, QOTSA, The Cure, Billy Talent, Anti-flag, bunch of masked EDM demons and various kinds of electro.
Basically, if you play me something that ranges from singing icebergs through depressive lyrics accompanied by kids toy instruments to system-taking-down punk and metal, I'll be happy.
Also, ask me about weird Czech bands, we have a bunch.
Forever and ever movies I'd die for: LotR, Matrix, Princess Mononoke, Star Wars IV-VI, Fifth Element, Mulan, Treasure Planet.
Books I could re-read anytime: Good Omens, American Gods, Silmarillion, Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, On the Road, The Art of Asking, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made Bill Bailey laugh at his live show in Czech. With my laughter.

I spent two weeks solo hitchhiking around Finland. I'm not the same person.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you fun stuff from my language.
You can teach me fun stuff from your language.
We can drink wine and try to find things that sound similar in our languages even though they might not be connected at all.
I can show you crazy music from my country and you can show me yours. I can teach you how to play about 10 chords on ukulele and the wonders of kazoo and we can jam.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can take your dog for a walk(your cat would probably not like that)
I can cook you 5 stars dinner (there will literally be 5 stars, I'm gonna make them out of vegetables)
I can share some stories.
