À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
I have had a second chance in life - Its precious ! Don't want to waste a minute - doubt I'll get another chance ... MAKE IT COUNT !!
ABOUT ME
Some mystery is a good thing. I have had extreme highs and lows, but have seen and experienced more than most get to experience in a lifetime - for that I am truly thankful.
Prefer to surround myself with positive, happy people. Negativity only breeds more negativity.
I was born and raised in wild South Africa - land of gold (sun, surf and nature). Blessed !
Money is not the root of all evil. Fear is !
PHILOSOPHY
Go big or go home. All your efforts/energy or nothing.
What doesn't kill, you makes you stronger.
Love yourself if you wish to love others. Be all you can be.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My schools motto/saying lives in me still today - "Fortiter in omne". Old Latin, which translates to "Bravely into all things."
Follow your instincts, you'll thank yourself later.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Zero, nada, nothing ... About to change all that :). Please help me work on those references ...
Centres d'intérêt
I love cooking and experimenting with new foods, local and foreign. I love social activities at ground/base level - interacting, and participating in interesting conversation. Needless to say, I love to travel and meet new cultures, share and learn. I love life in the fast lane and adrenalin activities, anything that get the blood pumping

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Movies - A bit out of touch with the Hollywood box-office and releases. I love "concept" movies - good ones that make you think and pay attention to details ... ones you that leave you going "Wow, what just happened" or "Didn't see that coming" ...... Movies good enough to NEED to watch again to get the full understanding. Examples would be "Fight Club, In Time, Avatar" .
I love a decent comedy movie from time to time too, but sadly, Hollywood often lacks decent talent and good scripts, so the good ones only come out 1 in 10 movies. Seth Rogan, Steve Carrol, Woody Harrelson are examples of good talent. Not really a fan of Will Farrell type comedy.
Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Steve Spielberg and Stanley Kubrick are my favorite directors - Anything they produce is not going to disappoint.
------------------------------------------------
Music - It doesn't matter what we are listening to. I like it all, very open/interested in new music on any level, any genre - old and new EXCEPT the stuff that pollutes our radio like Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, One Direction ....
----------------------------------------------
Books - Sadly they weigh too much to carry around on airplanes and backpacks during travels - so its been a while. Paulo Coelho, James Patterson are always a good read.
The last book I read was recommended to me on my travels was called "Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart: Thirty True Things You Need to Know" by Gordon Livingston
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Where to start ? This is a great conversation point to share over a beer. A little mystery is often a good thing .... Thirsty ?
