About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy the simplicity of living in an African village...

ABOUT ME

We love life the most when we are outdoors soaking in all that nature has to offer! Spending afternoons in our hammock or under a tree are just as enjoyable as when we are camping, biking and hiking. We love traveling and usually make it our mission to not appear like a tourist! Living like the locals do is more up our alley... you will never see us paying for a tour guide! :) We love meeting new people, but more importantly making new friends. Since becoming parents our nights are mostly spent at home with our little guy... but for now we find it just as thrilling as being "out and about!" We are a down to earth, relaxed, and friendly couple (promise!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We haven't had any CS experiences yet! (Well, not officially at least!) My sister and her fiance introduced us to CouchSurfing and they have had great stories to share. Through the process they have met fun & interesting people... and made some lasting friendships. We hope to do the same! :)

Interests

Jules: hiking, backpacking, camping, biking, traveling, the ocean, being a nurse, and spending time with family and friends!

Mark: Cycling, running, backpacking, hiking, camping, soccer, tennis, riding motorcycles, traveling, and fixing stuff himself (yup, his wife wrote the last one!)

We both can't get enough of watching Modern Family or The Big Bang Theory :) We enjoy nights out on the town but get as much enjoyment from watching a great movie on a comfy couch!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mark and I recently read Shane Claiborne's Irresistible Revolution, and I loved it so much I am sure it will be a re-read (and I don't do that sort of thing!)
I also just read the Poisonwood Bible and couldn't put it down!!
