Overview
About Me
Hi. My name is Marko (Ristich) Nikolov and I am a web developer from Skopje - Macedonia. I am a major history geek, a comic book fan, an alternative music afficionado and most of all, a traveler with a spirit of steel. I am easygoing, communicative and I love to hear stories of other people's adventures and experiences and of course, share my own too. I'd like to think of myself as an oddball with a kind heart and a penchant for adventure .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever since I was a child I had the dream of exploring Scandinavia. I am an avid collector of Scandinavian literature and a huge history buff. I started turning my dreams into reality by visiting Denmark and I had the experience of a lifetime, but it also made me realize that there is so much more to see in Scandinavia and generally, in Europe. I am dead-set on realizing my dream and meet new people, explore new places and learn the history of this amazing continent of ours.
My wanderlust started a few years ago after going out on my own to travel around Europe. It was around that time that I realized that one place can't hold me hostage and I must roam, discover and get inspired.
Interests
My interests mostly revolve around travel and history but I am fundamentally, a jack of all trades. I find new things that inspire and interest me on a weekly basis. Live and learn!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a tough field to fill in. I am quite partial to metal, rock, punk and most alternative genres in general. I also happen to love classical and world music as well as traditional folk songs of Northern, North-Western and Eastern Europe. As far as books go, I'm a collector of classical literature, horror, comics and historical pieces.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Booked a flight to Denmark for the next day and left with only leaving a note that I'll be gone for a week to live my dream. I only took a backpack and a wallet and I roamed Denmark from one end to the other.
Teach, Learn, Share
Be kind to people and animals, explore more, make friends, go wild, never settle, inspire others, share and listen and always try new things.
